CELEBRATE!

How often can we say that we celebrate who we are in this moment? We certainly celebrate birthdays and other special occasions, but do we wake up each morning loving who we are? Most likely there are other things to distract us from self-realization..practical things that need to be addressed before we feel inclined to stop cold and ruminate on who we are and what we’re all about. That takes a bit of doing. First of why bother? A day is only 24 hours long and who we are today won’t necessarily be who we are tomorrow. Still, when we do stop, stay still in the moment, breathe deeply, smile and feel ourselves in space, grounded or not, we give ourselves the opportunity to be grateful for every day and to celebrate ourselves as human beings. I find in photographing women, we can also find a way to celebrate ourselves in the moment, who we are right now this minute. And to revel in the knowledge that there is a reason we’re here.

There is a thrill in seeing ourselves as we’ve never seen ourselves before. Elegant, graceful and with a sparkle that comes from feeling centered.

So go ahead. Celebrate!
