I’d help raise my brother 14 years my junior and felt that experience would hold tight for a while It was the 70’s and zero population growth was the theme of the day. Call me a Reluctant Mom. So for 16 years we were just we two. Then upon visiting a dear friend who had an 18 month old, it suddenly hit me like a house afire and I changed my tune. I wanted to have a baby and my husband was completely onboard with it. So two weeks later, (after the insurance came through) I was pregnant.
Our beautiful daughter was born the following June and life only got better. How is this possible? Being her mom is the most wonderful thing I’ve ever experienced. I treasure our time together and I’m forever thrilled to see all of her twists and turns as she navigates her way into adulthood. I finally convinced her to take some mother daughter portraits with me in the studio last year..the first time ever, by the way. I hope to do this periodically because besides it being fun, it’s important for her to have images of us together. I may not be here forever, but my images of us together will be.
P.S. She’s now a new mom herself. What could be more perfect.
My slogan is: Take time to stop time for all time. No joke.
